Herewith we send N.Scheme 2230 shewing further modifications to the axle forging and parts of the brake gear, which Mr. Royce wishes to be adopted for future production.

The slot for the brake lever begins in the middle of the section, and the shaft is inclined so that the outer brake lever is at the same height as hitherto.

The method of mounting the shock damper ball is altered, and there is a resulting alteration on the brake pull off spring and parts.

The axle forging is of course a new die, and we have asked for the 2.7 dimension, which we were not able to obtain on the existing dies.
