Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ c. Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} GRY.{Shadwell Grylls} V124-5 4th. June 1936. BY.1/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Messrs. Super Oil Seal Manufacturing Co., Kings Norton, BIRMINGHAM. Dear Sirs, We have had a considerable number of complaints from our Paris Depot, as well as in our own experience at Derby, in regard to the oil seal on the rear axle shafts failing to function. At the moment we have four seals which have been returned to us from Paris, which have been replaced for this fault and returned to us at our request, so that we might be able to examine same and trace the cause of the trouble. We feel the only way to get down to the root of the trouble is if one of your principal people could make it convenient to pay us an early visit at our Works, when the matter will be fully considered by our Experimental Department and ourselves with them, with the object of obtaining a positive cure. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. AM Harvey Bailey TECHNICAL PRODUCTION ENGINEER. | ||
