| To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} From G.W.H. 87941. Hotel de France, Chateauroux(French test region), FRANCE. 7/8/31. BLAZE Copy. 25-EX. Taken on the Salbris Road. We send you the acceleration figures taken with 25-EX with the high compression head, and the low compression head, we obtained from Paris. You will observe by the figures that the results are practically equal up to 60 M.P.H. when the high compression head gives a better performance. With regard to the petrol consumption there was no appreciable difference. Water temperatures remain the same. We also enclose figures taken in regard to braking. These compare favourably with previous tests on L.H. cars taken at the Works. I met Roberts in Paris on Saturday night. 25-EX was running very well. The work had been carried out in regard to the petrol pipe as suggested by the A.C. petrol pump manufacturers, and Roberts said that no trouble had been experienced on their way up to Paris. H.R. would not get away until late Monday as the papers were not finally signed up for his trip to Switzerland. These were to be obtained Monday noon. G.W.H.Hancock. G.W.H. | ||
