Referring to your CJ1/E10.11.21. The latest information we have received from Springfield is in the cable we give below:-

"WITH REFERENCE TO YOUR TELEGRAM 347. HAVE NOW MADE
"TWELVE VAPORISER PIPES AND THOROUGHLY TESTED SMALL PILOT
"JET ON INDUCTION PIPE RESULT UNIFORM GOOD COLD STARTING
"SEEMS PERFECT AFTER MODIFYING JET OPENING SATISFIED
"RESULT BEST SO FAR WRITING".

It will be seen that they are satisfied as regards starting when using the Pilot Jet. Our tests confirm that the Pilot Jet with the moving choke should overcome the starting troubles.

We have only sent them temporary experimental model Pilot Jet. They have no drawings of this unit. This means that they will have to make the drawings themselves.
