Dear Dr. Mackay,

Thank you for your letter of the 2nd. May. I am sorry that I have been so lax in supplying you with the details of the tests we have carried out on the tyres which you were good enough to submit to overcome our squealing problems. This, as you can imagine, has been due to our preoccupation with war work.

We are very interested in the infor- mation contained in your letter of the 2nd. May and with the blueprints enclosed.

I am afraid that there is no possibility of arranging a meeting this week but will endeavour to ring you on Monday, May 12th., and arrange a date.

Yours sincerely,

Dictated, but signed in
Mr. Robotham's absence.
