Mr Johnson spoke to me on the telephone this morning concerning the fitting of the new bracket for the front end of the rear springs.

He said we should not fit any more new brackets to cars which we are building but rather fit the old brackets and old springs. [Handwritten note: F2661]

In the meantime we should proceed to test the new device on the dynamometer as quickly as possible, running same night and day.

Those cars which are now in the hands of the coachbuilders, fitted with this device, should not be allowed to go into the hands of the customers until the results of the dynamometer test are obtained.
