To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X110 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/KW.19.12.35. Clutches. Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.16.12.35. Borg & Beck are the Company in America who produce all the smaller touring car clutches: Long produce the clutches for the 12-cylinder cars and commercial stuff. I brought a Long clutch back from the States two years ago, and the centre plate of this is now fitted to 35-EX, and has proved itself to be the most satisfactory set-up we have so far had. Borg & Beck in this country have just bought the Licence to deal with Long products, so in co-operating with them we are covering the whole research carried out in America.
