COPY. CJ7/E27/4/23 27th April 1923 The Managing Director, Messrs. Citroen-Kegresse, 22, Buckingham Gate, S.W.1. Dear Sir: I am extremely obliged to you for your letter of the 24th instant and for your kind suggestion that we might be interested in the Citroen-Kegresse device. It appears to us that the only occasion on which we might be interested would be if the Government ordered from us armoured or other cars to be used in districts for which the device is suitable and that probably the Government would specify that the device should be fitted had they been previously been satisfied by your Company as to its suitability and practicability. We could not undertake to carry out trials in order to satisfy the Government on these points and, therefore, we do not think it advisable that we should go further into the matter. At the same time we are extremely obliged to you for so courteously bringing the matter before us. Yours faithfully, (Sgd) C.Johnson. Managing Director. ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
