re. 34-GN. Fairey

With reference to the above car and telephone conversation with JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} and Lp.{Mr Lappin} this morning, pointing out that the car is now at Park Wards and Mr. Fairey wants it back again at the earliest possible moment.

We are surprised to learn that the larger output dynamo and any other parts necessary to carry out the recommended alterations per our EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}1/H14.4.30. have not been despatched. We have, however, taken the matter up with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and he has promised to give it his urgent attention and issue instructions for the necessary parts to be supplied quickly. We will arrange to follow this up and have the parts sent off as soon as they are ready to Messrs. Park Wards for JLE{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager}'s attention.

Will JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} please make whatever arrangements are necessary to have the alterations incorporated.

With regard to the axle failure on Fairey's car and Capt. Malcolm Campbell's car, this has had the careful attention of the Experimental Dept. and we shall be glad if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will issue a report in reply to C12/C15.4.30.
