X.3066 RE ALTERATIONS TO ENGINES.
With regard to the alterations recently sent through for "Eagle" Engines, such as, thickening up the rod and taking up the side play in the rod. I should like to suggest it would be better if standardisation sheets were sent round for these alterations. I do not suggest that at all times the alteration should wait until Mr. Royce has agreed but it seems only right that he should know what modifications are being made, for instance, in the case of the end play in the rods which Mr. Olley is dis-puting, if we could say a standardisation had been signed, there would have been no argument possible.
