CONDENSERS.

Referring to EFC1/AD.24.9.30, the position is rather ambiguous.

I find that we have definitely specified a certain number of turns for the condenser, and the Works have worked rigorously to this particular number, which is of course in accordance with the drawing.

It is agreed that we might have put a note on the drawing to keep the capacity of the condensers right and reduce the number of turns, but from one of your previous reports we had gathered the impression that with tungsten points a double capacity condenser might have been a possibility and we therefore in view of this had not added any note to our drawing by which the Works would have been limited to keep the capacity within certain definite figures.

In view of your note, we propose to bring down the number of turns from 28 to 25 and instructing the Works that they must keep within the capacity limits, in other words we are instructing them to ignore the number of turns and work to the capacity limit.
