To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c.c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} De. re Bensport - Fan Drive and Blower. Further to our memo E.7/HP.13.8.32, we omitted to mention the idea of using a flat endless belt. This would go into the restricted space more easily than the Vee belt, and might be capable of transmitting sufficient power for the amount of fan cooling we should require.
