To CWB. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to R.{Sir Henry Royce} X980 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG15.4.26. 20 HP. STEERING LOCK. X5430 X.980 CWB2/GM12.4.26. Below we give turning circles of 20 HP. fitted with front wheel brakes and the reduction when the new steering is fitted. The reduction is caused by the wheel fouling the side steering tube because of the outside pendulum lever on the new steering. The present standard 20 HP. front wheel lock is 40° on both sides, and gives the following diameter turning circles measured at the hub cap :- L.H. lock 40 ft. 11 1/4" R.H. lock 41 ft. 7 1/4" With the new steering the front wheel R.H. lock is reduced to 33° and the turning circle is xxxxx increased to - R.H. lock - 47 ft. 8 1/4".
