R.R. 148 (20 H) (X 970. 23.5.12) G 2599 X496 Water consumption tests, taken on Dynamometer. The water was kept constant at 70°C the thermometer was in the Top water pipe from engine to radiator. Time is how long it took to pass 5 Gals of water through the engine & to keep it at 70°C. Two readings were taken on each test the result given is the mean. The difference in these two tests only amounted to 2 to 3 secs in the time. The thermometer varied between 69° & 71°C. Daimler was fitted with RR medium large carb, worm axle [struck through: 101m/m x 130m/m A] Compression. 75 lbs RR Car 1714.
