With respect to their comments on our rubber mounting and their belief that it is not so good as the Silent Block mounting which they wish to use, we agree that this may be true but we have no evidence to prove the case either way, as we have never tried a Phantom III body with Silent Block mounting. Until we have done so and established the fact that it will prevent tyre noise travelling from the axle through the frame to the body, we feel that we should go ahead and use universally the rubber mounting which we have tried.

We are endeavouring to arrange to test for 10,000 miles a Phantom III body with Silent Block mounting.

We return herewith the letter received from the various Coachbuilders.
