" Ma. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 40/50 h.p. Petrol Tanks. I have had a further talk with Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} on this question, and he is prepared to agree to a larger petrol tank - i.e. 28-gallons - being fitted to all 40/50 h.p. chassis commencing with the last 100 authorised, in view of the fact that in DY{F R Danby}/Cgh{W Clough}10/GEL.2.33. you say there is just time for you to make these larger tanks with the material about to be ordered, but subject to a Standardisation Sheet being signed quickly by all concerned. We believe that the Experimental Department have done some running with 28-gallon tanks, and we know that in a few instances customers have been supplied with larger tanks - notably 72-MS Vomberge (ordered for Kruse) and 223-AMS Misudaki - apparently without any complaints or drawbacks arising therefrom. We are of the opinion that it should not be necessary to run a 10,000 miles test with a larger tank, as would be necessary with some new design of moving part. [Handwritten]: LID{A. J.
