BEARING LOADS OF 4 CYLINDER ENGINE (3½" BORE x 3¾" STROKE).

Crankshaft EB.4843 is used as regards balance masses etc., but extra journals at each end are assumed removed.

Connecting rod EB.4847 is used, with Bentley II pistons.

The centre bearing is EB.3920 and inter. bearing is EW.1825.

The bearing loads have been calculated using a new table of bearing reaction coefficients worked out by me for 4 crank engines, and are tabulated below for various conditions.
