To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} 6092 RE. VOLTAGE REGULATORS. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} has shewn me your note Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}11/MG.30.11.36. I thought we hade made it quite clear to Mr.Mills that the new type Lucas regulator was still a long way off and we also informed him that even if this new regulator were satisfactory it would be at least six months before we could issue a standardisation sheet for the same, as it is always necessary to carry out road tests on important electrical items such as voltage regulators. It is unfortunate, therefore, that orders for existing regulators were not placed earlier in view of our recommendations. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. | ||
