Dear Mr. Robotham,
Very many thanks for your letter of the 11th inst. with an offer of a paper on the subject of Cylinder Wear for next Session. I shall have pleasure in reporting this to the Technical Committee when it meets on the 23rd inst.
In the meantime it would be very helpful if you could send me just a line or two by way of synopsis showing the ground which the paper would cover; quite a short note of fifty or a hundred words would meet the case admirably. Perhaps you could supply this.
