X1029 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}12/KW. 15th April, 1936. Your Ref: AF/AL. Messrs. New Hudson Ltd., Icknield St.{Capt. P. R. Strong}, Birmingham 18. For the attention of Mr. Frazer. Dear Sirs, We feel that we are now in a position once again to experiment with Girling brakes on a Bentley car, provided that we chose the size of shoes, drum etc. and method of operation. We are willing to supply you with the same axles as before if you will build up on them brakes to our specification. We would like to discuss the matter with you and would be pleased if you could call upon us one day during the week commencing April 20th. Please advise us which day you prefer. With reference to your letter of 24th March, we do not think the schemes mentioned are suitable for a car with fully compensated brakes. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
