Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x304 E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/MN. 25th. March, 1935. Messrs. Park Ward & Co., 473, High Road, Willesden, London, N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Ward. Dear Sirs, Re Continental Touring Saloon 32EX. -------------------------------- We understand that you have been given a pattern of 'Harlanoid' paint, elephant grey, 220, as a suggested colour for the above car. We have since discussed the question of a suitable grey and have definitely decided that we will have the car painted Willey's 'Torpedoboat' Gray, of which we enclose herewith a pattern. Will you please return the pattern as soon as you have made your sample. As we are aware that there will be difficulty in obtaining special leather for this car in the period of time available, we should be glad if you would find out what leathers are obtainable, and send us samples. We suggest that besides the possibility of a grey leather, there is the alternative of a blue or even a red leather. This consideration will be influenced to some extent by what head cloths and carpet you can obtain. We should be glad to receive from you samples of leather head cloth and carpet representing your proposals. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. Att: Paint sample. | ||
