Sft{Mr Swift}/Mr. Clay. [strikethrough] c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mr. Steadman. X1114 hived Ao/STD Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/AW.3/IB. 30.5.36. We have recently received 5 Oil Cooler Assemblies E.87820 from Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Marston Ltd. Tests were carried out by Inspection Dept. and they reported that the Tanks leaked under pressure of 40/50 lbs. This information has been conveyed to Messrs. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Marston, and naturally this causes alarm owing to the fact that they undertook exhaustive tests on the Coolers before they were despatched, a complete record being kept of each individual test. They therefore propose visiting these Works either Wednesday or Thursday next to observe the tests to which we subject the Tanks and if their methods are not satisfactory, they will carry out their tests in a similar manner to ours.
