COPY. SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/ML2.11.32 INDEPENDENT SPRINGING -------------------- Replying to SG{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}17/D101132, we did a little at the arrangement proposed by R.{Sir Henry Royce} during the winter, but our other jobs prevented us spending the time on it we had hoped to do, and we have not had an opportunity since R.{Sir Henry Royce} returned of taking the matter up again, though R's attention has been drawn to the arrangement on the small Delage, which is almost like his own proposal. The state of the design now is that if we could have a few days on it, it could be brought to a state from which an experiment could be roughly carried out to test the value of the idea. We think the best way would be for us to devote a few evenings to it in the near future. Alternatively, the slackening off on Bensport, which must take place soon, might enable us to get a few days on it. R.{Sir Henry Royce} we believe is thinking of it in connection with the new 12 cyl. chassis. (Sgd.) DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
