For the attention of Mr. Ratcliffe

Dear Sirs,

PHANTOM III EEC-42 CARBURETTER.

We are pleased to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 29th ult., and we beg to reply as follows. -

We agree that some improvement might be made by replacing the plugs referred to by means of headed screws with an aluminium washer fitted under the head, but it has not been our experience so far to find that there is a leakage at the points indicated. Furthermore, the arrangement is standard American practice on this particular carburetter.

However, we see no reason why the modification should not be made and we suggest that it might conveniently be brought into operation on the next sanction for carburetters.

We trust that this arrangement will be agreeable to you.

Yours faithfully,
THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD.

AEP/KD

A.F. Palmer
