S/W To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Py/Blb. X440. Py/Blb.1/JL.5.4.32. Re: LANCHESTER CAR. ----------- The gentlemen to whom we loaned this car for Easter had trouble due to valves sticking up and a valve spring breaking. A temporary spring was fitted at Exeter and this was replaced at Lillie Hall by a new spring we obtained at Lanchesters. As far as we can make out the trouble was confined to the second and third cylinders from the back. Subsequently Blb. drove the car to Derby and similar trouble (on the second and third cylinders from the back) occurred during the whole of the journey. A new licence was taken out for the quarter commencing 25th March, and this we understand has been forwarded to you by Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} Py/Blb. IM. | ||
