X.3485 - 20 HP. BALLAST RESISTANCE.

Herewith we hand you two present standard up-to-date standard ballast resistances.

We should be glad if you would have these fitted to 3GII and 7GII, replacing the ballast resistances at present thereon, which latter kindly return to us for examination.

These will have done a considerable number of miles. In the case of 3GII the ballast resistance has always been one of 15" length of wire in place of the standard 25".
It would therefore be all the more instructive to examine the condition of this particular ballast, included in which examination will be a tension test on the wire composing the resistance, in comparison with a similar test on new wire at present being used.
