X.3566 - RE INSTRUMENT TO RECORD WATER TEMPERATURE OF 40/50 CHASSIS.

We have been using a Thermometer on 49-CB which we obtained from the Cambridge Scientific Co. This instrument is in the form of a gauge and has a range from 50 to 100°C.

We have found this instrument extremely useful (and as we have a spare one for 7-CA, we are sending this on to Mr. Royce with another top water pipe which has the necessary connection.

The price of this instrument is 51/-).

We recommend that we should fit one of these instruments to each chassis. If we do this we recommend that the connection is made in the top of the radiator and the pipe carried round inside the frame on to the instrument board so that the engine could always be dismantled without risk of damaging the Thermometer tube.
