It should be thoroughly understood that the present servo is not perfectly satisfactory unless fitted with a spring thrust collar. This fitting causes the servo to act without jaggers, and without shock.

I understand there is a tendency to alter the bedding of brakes in case of their rough action - (London trials driver reported this of a 20 HP. at Cricklewood). This seems wrong.
