We now recommend that the modification shown on the accompanying blue print sketch be asked for on production batteries from Messrs. P & R and Chloride Co. This proposed modification has been put up to them for approval on the question of strength and has been definitely agreed to by both of them. Will you therefore please arrange for its adoption on production batteries. The modification makes carrying of the units much easier by enabling the middle three fingers of one's hand to be inserted which is not the case at present, it also provides for easier insertion of the series connecting link.
