Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 16th inst. in reference to Model "K" plugs, and we note that you are still troubled with over-heating.

On Nov.8th we forwarded to you one dozen special Model "K" plugs fitted with brass, grooved cooling collars on the centre pin. These represent our latest design of plug for Aeroplane work and we shall be glad to know wheth tests have been made on these plugs, and whether your complaint of over-heating applied to these particular plugs. If this is the case we should esteem it a favour if you would return to us two or three of thrsr plugs which have been tested and which have proved unsatisfactory due to over-heating, and after examining thrsr plugs we will let you know what we can do to further overcome this trouble.

We may say that we are anxious to do our utmost to satisfy your requirements but before re-designing the plug we want to have before us a complete report on the result of your test and we would particularly like to know whether the plugs pre-ignited at once or whether they ran for a considerable time before pre-igniting. Also, we should like to know if trouble is experienced due to oil being thrown up on to the plug causing short-circuiting.

If no oil is likely to be present and the engine runs comparatively clean we can reduce the length of the
