Contd. -2- should be made to test this by running the engine on the direct drive up to an engine speed of 4,000. We have since found your second drawing for this where you have altered it to my instructions, making it larger in diameter and simpler in construction. R Apparently I was wrong in suggesting it should be of thin metal. The combined torque with other stresses have caused it to collapse, increasing the wall to 1/10 should put it right, unless your calculations or other experience suggesting it should be still larger in diameter. | ||
