We beg to enclose herewith a print showing the exterior construction of the type of jack as modified to suit your conditions. You will note that it is not practicable to reduce the length unless ground clearance is cut down. The jack has a travel of 9" and can be fitted to give from 7½" to 8" ground clearance, every ½" extra ground clearance raises the top of the jack 1" higher from the ground level. With regard to the modified type of jack, these are now ready for fitting to your car, together with the production type of pump unit, and if you can see your way to let us have the car for a day we will complete the job. Yours faithfully, for S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD. F.S. Efford TO AVOID DELAY ALL ENVELOPES SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE FIRM. | ||
