To Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. R.{Sir Henry Royce} BJ. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/T24.1.27. Y4117 Y4118 With reference to Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}'s quarterly list of Complaints, we see that there are 22 complaints of brakes squeaking on the "India" cars. The majority of these are stated to be front wheel brake squeaks. As we have found that a damper is such an efficient cure on the Phantom, we suggest that we [handwritten insertion: you] should get out a similar device for "India". At the same time we are conducting tests with different types of lining. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
