[STAMP: RECEIVED 28 MAY 1926 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ] re. 40/50 HP. Front Wheel Brakes and oil getting on same from front pivots. During a recent test of about 250 miles with a new chassis on test, 43-TC, Mr. Wyer, reports as follows:- "After running 20 miles the front wheel brakes began to get less effective and continued to get worse during the day, due to the oil leaking from the pivots, and running on to the brake shoes and drums. Perhaps too much oil had been forced into the pivots when in the shop, but with the heat of the day it ran freely all round, stub axle etc. EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
