Having attended to the body since the return of the car from Chateauroux, we think it is now in very good order. There is however the exception of the sliding roof which when shut is inclined to rattle at the front and this is due to the construction of the sliding mechanism and Vanvooren are at a loss to cure this without altering the design of the roof which is supplied by the Metropolitan Company. These roofs do not appear altogether satis- factory from this point of view and Vanvooren do not intend to employ these in the future. They have made an effort to fix a piece of rubber on the leading edge of the sliding roof so as to stop the wind noise at high speed. This is their first attempt and no doubt an impro- vement will be made concerning the future roofs. We should be interested to know your comments on this body in due course; "Sr [handwritten signature] | ||
