Copy. TBB6/L9112. January 9th. 1912. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} S. Napier Esq., Acton Vale, London. W. Dear Sir, We note that you had fitted to your large finished car at the recent Olympia Show, a special system of ventilation to the front seats. The system we refer to is that in which you employ a separate body dash which does not fit closely to the chassis dash, and allows fresh air to enter the front seat space from the front of the dash. The scheme also would apparently include the advantages obtained with the Daimler form of separate body and chassis dashes. We have been interested in a similar device for some time and it occurs to us that you may have obtained a patent for the scheme. Will you kindly advise us if you have filed any application for protection, as we are anxious that we should not infringe any makers patents. We trust we are not troubling you unduly in this matter, and that you will be able to give us the information we require. Yours faithfully, For and on behalf of ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
