RECEIVED DEC 20 XII 1913] Re Body Booming X971 Wr. Hby 1/B11213. Dec 1st 1913 With reference to your WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/SMY/11213, and Mr Spinney's suggestion, it is not possible to carry out Mr Spinney's suggestion, on the body of 2300 car, as the body is of quite different construction to the kind of body to which Mr Spinney refers. The roof is not made of wood, but is of sheet metal, lined with cloth, and stiffened by wood battens. Also the back panels and part of the quarter panels, are made of leather, tightly stretched. The booming on this particular car, appears to be chiefly created by these leather panels and not by the roof. A This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
