PARIS
Nº 2.

As regards the engine, it is totally free from periods of any sort, either forward or on the over-run.

The Lockheed brakes are very efficient.

This is certainly the car you should try at the first available opportunity, remembering, of course, that it is going to be marketed at about £200.- catalogue price.

We were tackled on the road by a V8 Ford roadster and I was impressed by the manner in which we trimmed it up.

Mr Marcel Michelin continues to be very interested in Pilot tyres as far as Bentley is concerned, and he will shortly be delivering to us a set of tyres and wheels which are more in keeping with our present standard tyre 5.50 x 17.

He points out that the last tyres were carrying too great a load, and could therefore not possibly give the results expected.

I shall make arrangements to try these wheels on a car, although they will not fit my demonstration car, owing to the aluminium brake drums, after which I propose sending them over to you. At the same time Mr Michelin would like one of his Engineers to go over to DERBY to follow the testing with you if you are agreeable, and I hope you will be.

We have lots to gain by keeping on the right side of the Michelin-Citroën Company, and when you are next in Paris, you simply must go and see these people, as they are the only firm in France who are really going ahead, and have an excellent Experimental Department at the present time.
