X.3918. EXPERIMENTAL CAR FOR U.S.A. X.3754a/b.

Arrangements have been made so that this car will be shipped on the 20th inst. The most suitable car we have available is 4.EX Car which is fitted with a Saloon Body.
We assume that for testing a car under Winter conditions in America it is very necessary to have a totally enclosed body. The body on this car is, unfortunately, old fashioned and high but it is quite comfortable to ride in and is a type of body which is very frequently used on our chassis.
I propose leaving for America on the 27th inst.
We are fitting to 4.EX the following new parts:-

X.4172. 1. New wiring arrangement.
X.4173. 2. New R.R. Distribution Board.
X.4173. 3. New R.R. Switchbox.
X.4189. 4. R.R. Locked ignition switch which includes connection for inspection lamp and switch for Dashboard Light.
X.4202. 5. Klaxon Horn Switch operated from centre of steering column.
X.3660. 6. Main switch for Starter connected up in series instead of parallel.
X.4181. 12. E.O.6. type Watford Magneto.
X.3699. 10. Serrated Magneto Drive.
