Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/LG13.1.27. RE. EXHAUST CUTOUT. X8490 77490 ARRGT. E.7469 - PHANTOM. We have investigated the cutout system and are of the opinion that the rear spring E.73001 is doing no useful work now that control rods are used in place of wire, and should be deleted. The lever E.73998 will have to be cut, deleting the lower portion from boss and bracket E.73311 for holding spring will not be required. Owing to the strong pressure of the front spring we think it advisable to fit the stop to the valve to prevent it from sticking. The sch. 744 of this stop we recommend, as it enables the clearance between valve and stop to be measured without dismantling and should keep cooler. The clearance between stop and valve should be .005" instead of .010" as shewn on scheme. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.Hancock. | ||
