Att: Mr. R.M.Child.

Dear Sirs,

We give below confirmation of the telegram we have addressed to you today:-

"YOUR LETTER EXPERIMENTAL DEPT. R.M.CHILD JANUARY 11th JUST RECEIVED - SUGGEST FRIDAY 20th AS ALTERNATIVE APPOINTMENT."
"PLEASE CONFIRM."

and must explain that the reason for our wiring you in this manner is that by some mistake on the part of the Post Office, your letter of the 11th inst., reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}11/JH., did not reach us until today, when it was naturally impossible for us to keep the appointment you were good enough to suggest.

However, subject to your confirmation, we shall be most pleased to arrange for one of our engineers to visit you on Friday, in the manner suggested.

We await your reply with the greatest of interest.

Yours faithfully,
ERIE RESISTOR LIMITED.
