22. AXLE.

The axle with the pre-loading spring deleted and the roller bearing with end clearance substituted, will be reproduced on another car, preferably 30.G.VII. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} will issue the necessary instructions to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} to get the bits made.

23. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GB's VISIT TO VAUXHALL'S.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GB. will make a date with Vauxhall's to clear up several points. The main object of the visit is to get a fly-wheel for our Vauxhall and, at the same time, to get the axle and propellor shaft of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s car fixed. He will also discuss some tank problems.

24. PROPELLOR SHAFTS.

Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will write to Daniells re the Rolls Royce propellor shaft which we have given him and ask him to return the rest. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GB. will try and arrange for our dud propellor shafts to be tested on the General Motors rig at Vauxhall's.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} will get the worst propellor shaft back from Daniells and put it on 9.B.V. If it is still bad, then it must go down to Vauxhall's for test.

25. BEARINGS.

When the Myth engine is complete and Robinson therefore has some time to spare, we will see whether we can get a little bracket securely fixed on to the gear-box to carry a bearing in the middle of the sideshaft.

We have got crowded rollers on B-22+AW; 9.B.V; 4.B.50; 12.B.V. and 30.G.VII. We will look at 30.G.VII's gearbox bearings after 10,000 miles.

26. GEARBOX LUBRICANT.

We will put some Robertson's doped oil in the gearbox that is running about on the lorry. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} will issue a report on the lorry gears that have failed, so that the design people can know all about them.
