| X.3981. To EY. From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG10.6.20. X.3981. RE - CHASSIS REAR SPRINGS. X.3923. With reference to the pair of latest rear springs which we have ordered for Mr. Royce's car, we consider that those springs should be made with the plates made of the very thin points to the leaves. As you are aware, Woodheads have sent us two types of the latest springs, one of them much thinner at the ends. We consider, from the appearance and from the short tests we have had with these springs that the thin ended ones are the most likely to be those we shall use. We should, therefore, like to have this type of spring fitted to Mr. Royce's car. Could you also obtain for us a promise from Woodheads when we shall receive these springs. It is necessary for us to get hold of them by Wednesday next week if they are to go on to Mr. Royce's car. I think this matter is sufficiently urgent for you to get a 'phone message through to Woodheads and see what they can do. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
