500b γ HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}4/R.14.4.37. CONTINENTAL P.III BRAKES. There is too much rear braking on this car. Will you please build a new intermediate shaft as shown on RR.Sch.995, but with a new lever 1.7" between centres in place of the present lever with 1.9" cen centres (G.84888). As this lever and also two other levers, G.84889 and G.84887, are brazed on to the shaft, it will be necessary to build a new shaft with 3 new levers, and we would like it fitted to 39-EX when the rear hand brake lever is fitted.
