BR/KHJ. 4th January ... 1936. SUBJECT Dear Mr. West, We are despatching to you to-day per passenger train one distributor. As this will be leaving this building about 2 o/c. this afternoon and, therefore, should travel by any of the early afternoon trains, it should be delivered to you first thing on Monday morning, failing which, no doubt, you will collect from the station. Confirming our conversation with Mr. Rowbottom and yourself, you will notice we have black enamelled the distributor casting, made up a new aluminium nameplate, recessed the lubricator 1/4" further into the casting, so that it does not project out so far, and machined the lubricator. A Dull Plated We have given the condenser a black finish and have made up a new aluminium casting, giving you our latest idea for fixing the distributor and simplicity for timing. You will see that this timing lever has been made up specially and although we have given it a black finish, we agree it is not quite the finish of a Rolls Royce job. However, you will appreciate although we have experimented several times with this we could not get the colour we wanted to send off to you to-day. Of course, you realise that we cannot B23. A.E. | ||
