RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DS 481-8-12 24) MP 306975 X.7690. ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E7C. Order No.: WC 110 Customer's No.: Mushroom type HT rotors We have now conducted a 10000 mile bench test on one of these rotors running with a standard distributor open circuited i.e. with the distributor terminals unconnected to gaps. This allowed the HT sparks from the coil to jump from the rotor to distributor base as described in WC41/20-10-27. The rotor was examined at the end of the run and with the exception of two small grooves where the spark touched the bakelite en route to earth, was quite OK with no evidence of tracking. Signed: H.E.W. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
