To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} From Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} J1020 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}20/MJ.2.11.36. BENTLEY CRANKSHAFTS AND HALL'S METAL BEARINGS. There is no doubt that crankshafts are likely to be more deeply scored with Hall's metal bearings than with White Metal previously used. For this reason we want some standardised treatment for crankshafts so that when new bearings are fitted they will get the best possible chance. Attached are our recommendations. What Nitriding treatment do you think the shaft should have after lapping?. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Attached: Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swd1.18/JH.2.11.36. | ||
