Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. 28th April, 1937. For Mr.Leslie's attention. Dear Mr.Leslie, I thank you for your letter of the 27th. We are altering the pattern to suit your requirements, and also so that we can accommodate your type of valve. We are leaving this pattern so it can be used for either the present type of valve, or so that the castings could come in in any case. We are returning to you tonight the two shock absorbers you sent back, with the new arms and also a device which more or less evens out the effort required to to operate the control. This will give you an opportunity of trying them as they are, and also without this gadget. We found on examination that the moving parts of the hand control were very stiff, and would take quite an effort on the steering wheel to operate them. This arrangement, however, may overcome the difficulty. Yours sincerely, p.p. THE GORDON ARMSTRONG PATENT SUSPENSION CO.LTD. Gordon Armstrong | ||
