Re Colt Ventilation:

Dear Sirs,

I should be obliged if you were to advise me as to progress with the Aluminium Bonnet Vent sent you to experiment with.

As conveyed in a previous letter we are experimenting with fans and radiators, but in as much as their function depends in a large measure on pressure conditions under the bonnet your information regarding the above bonnet device will help us very materially, for we have no car of your make available for independant tests and comparison.

What we should appreciate to know primarily is what you have been able to ascertain as to extracting capacity at various rates of speed, secondly, whether you consider a reduction of the vertical vent openings feasible, bearing in mind that you possess perfect regulation in the radiator shutters which we understand are a standard fitting.

As soon as we have this information we can decide as to which of two alternatives we can offer to further improve fan-performance or whether these can be dispensed with.

The courtesy of your early reply will much oblige,

with compliments,

Yours Faithfully,

Colt Ventilation, Ltd.
