TO PY. FROM AJS. Copy to - HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X5310 AJS1/M14.12.25. X5310 X5500 X5370 X5960 re. INDIA GEARBOX, AND FLOOR CUT AWAY ABOVE. We telegraphed you on Thursday last as follows - "DOES HIVES CONSIDER LUBRICATOR SHOWN ON GL.{G. Linnett}168 ABSOLUTE-LY ESSENTIAL TO SERVO DRIVE". As at present we have received no reply we shall be glad to know what the decision is as regards the necessity for fitting of oil transfer device as indicated on your print GL.{G. Linnett}168., as we remember on one occasion when HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} was here, he said the lubrication of servo was now quite sufficient, and we understood from him that this was without the scheme referred to above, and only incorporating the paddle on bottom shaft in rear compartment, and oil collecting webs on cover of the same compartment. We therefore believe that perhaps there may be some error in the scheme you indicate on your drawing having been adopted as standard, if this is the case. We should be glad if you would kindly clear this point up for us. AJS. | ||
